Toei presented the initial trailer for Dragon Ball Daima at New York Comic Con, confirming the reappearance of kid Goku and triggering immediate comparisons to GT.
Unlike GT, creator Akira Toriyama is actively involved in this new series, which has been in the making for over four years. As the production enters its final stages, new information about Daima is circulating, with episode one on the brink of completion.
Dragon Ball Daima Episode 1 Leak
DBZ YouTuber Geekdom101 is the source of the Dragon Ball Daima details, having accurately disclosed information about the anime prior to its official announcement.
As per Geekdom, a substantial portion of Daima's inaugural episode was featured in the unveiling trailer. Early on in the episode, a significant animation shift is expected. Allegedly, the episode will kick off with art reminiscent of the vintage Dragon Ball Z style, evoking the beloved appearance of the classic 90s era.
However, it is anticipated to undergo a transition, adopting a more modern look akin to Dragon Ball Super Broly as it progresses.
Geekdom reveals that the yet-to-be-named villains cast a curse on Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and other heroes, transforming them back into their child forms. Despite attempts to break the curse using the Dragon Balls, it remains unbroken due to its origin in the demon realm.
This predicament sets the stage for the first arc of Daima, where Goku and the Supreme Kai embark on a journey to new locations, encountering fresh characters as they seek a solution to reverse the curse.
Daima takes a departure from Dragon Ball Super by incorporating elements like blood, a feature mostly absent in DBS. This shift is attributed to the series being a streaming anime rather than airing on television.
Intriguingly, Geekdom adds that Toriyama is actively involved in the scripting process, approving and editing scripts to ensure the show aligns more closely with his vision, addressing concerns that previously impacted the production of Super.
