Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 begins where the Episode 5 has ended. Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara stroll through the city, contemplating their plans for the day. Megumi opts to head back to Jujutsu High, while Yuji attempts to persuade Nobara to join him in watching Human Earthworm 4 at the movies. He outlines the storyline, sharing the movie trailer, but Nobara remains uninterested. As they part ways, a teenage girl their age observes from across the street.

Meanwhile, Aoi Todo and Mei Mei engage in a game of ping pong after recommending several Jujutsu High students for promotion to grade 1. Todo believes he'll mentor Yuji in his pursuit of promotion, but Mei Mei shatters his expectations by reminding him that the person who recommended Yuji cannot accompany him on mandatory missions. With his spirits crushed, Mei Mei triumphs over Todo in ping pong.
The girl who observed Yuji earlier gathers the courage to approach Nobara. They agree to chat at a restaurant, and the girl introduces herself as Yuko Ozawa. She and Yuji attended middle school together when she was shorter and chubbier. Now, with a transformed appearance, Yuko drops hints to Nobara about wanting to reconnect with Yuji. Intrigued, Nobara asks, "It's like that!?" and Yuko confirms her crush on Yuji. Determined to assist, Nobara arranges for Ijichi to take Megumi back into the city and drop him off at the restaurant.
Nobara explains the situation, and even Megumi inquires, "It's like that!?" He confirms that Yuji is currently single and has a preference for tall girls, boosting Nobara and Yuko's confidence. Nobara summons Yuji, and to everyone's surprise, he recognizes Yuko without hesitation. Yuko quickly realizes that Yuji always saw beyond her appearance. She feels ashamed of trying to impress him as if he were like other boys who judged her based on her weight. Yuko decides not to disclose her feelings and departs without getting Yuji's number.
Megumi questions Nobara if everything is alright, and she reveals that she exchanged numbers with Yuko, ensuring it's fine. Shortly after, Yuji catches up with his two classmates and pressures them to join him at the movies.
After some time, the trio rendezvous with Utahime Iori to investigate the mole at Jujutsu High. They focus their inquiry on the location of Kokichi Muta's real body. Through a process of elimination, they suspect Kokichi Muta, also known as Mechamaru, to be the mole. His Puppet Manipulation technique is the only one capable of executing long-range surveillance.

Meanwhile, at Kyoto Jujutsu High, Kasumi Miwa reminds Mechamaru about the deadline for submitting notebooks. However, the puppet informs Kasumi that he needs to take a break for now. Expecting visitors, Mechamaru is caught off guard when Utahime and the others arrive. They uncover a false hideout, confirming Kokichi as the traitor. Unbeknownst to them, Kokichi is actually meeting with Geto and Mahito. In a binding vow, he agrees to provide information in exchange for them fixing his body.
Mahito expresses a desire to kill Kokichi, but Geto firmly warns him about the repercussions of breaking a vow with others. Reluctantly, the cursed spirit heals Kokichi's body using Idle Transfiguration, and they decide to settle their differences then and there. Kokichi summons multiple Mechamaru puppets and sends them toward his opponent. Despite Mahito quickly dispatching them, Kokichi vanishes before blowing up the hideout entirely.
Mahito and Geto survive the explosion and find themselves outside near a large lake. From the water emerges Kokichi's ultimate invention: Mechamaru Mode: Absolute! This colossal Mechamaru is piloted by Kokichi from the inside. Having accumulated seventeen years' worth of cursed energy, he plans to survive by using it to defeat Mahito.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 6 concludes on a high note as aware of his slim chances of victory, Kokichi aims to contact Satoru Gojo for rescue, relying on the recorded knowledge of everything that has transpired up to this point. He initiates the battle by unleashing a year's worth of cursed energy in a single shot from his Ultra Cannon.
