SPY x FAMILY Season 2 Episode 12 - Anime Recap
SPY x FAMILY Season 2 Episode 12 begins where the Episode 11 ended. At the Forger home, Loid readies Bond for a walk, inviting Anya, who declines to focus on paper-folding. Undeterred, Loid opts for dog training, and at the park, he initiates Bond's training in suppression and protection, with Franky reluctantly playing the suspect.

However, Loid discovers that Bond is too gentle to bark and bite. Shifting gears, Loid decides to focus on scent work and explosives detection, but Bond appears melancholic at the prospect. Concerned, Loid seeks Franky's input, who suggests making the training more enjoyable for Bond by incorporating fun elements. Taking this advice, Loid decides to change his approach and takes Bond for a leisurely walk through the city. Meanwhile, back at home, Anya rewards herself with a paper Stella Star, only to watch it quickly tumble off.

As Bond strolls with Loid, he witnesses a vision of a boy crying over a dropped ice cream cone. Determined to prevent the mishap, Bond spots the same boy and plans to save the treat, earning praise from Loid. However, when Bond attempts to intervene by preventing the boy from tripping, confusion ensues among Loid and the other boys, who mistake Bond's intentions as an attempt to steal the ice cream. Unfortunately, Bond's actions lead to the inevitable fall of the ice cream, leaving the child in tears.

Loid apologizes and purchases a new ice cream for the disappointed boy, this time with three scoops. Bond then experiences another vision, this time of an old man about to be struck by a bicycle. Reacting quickly, Bond pulls the man by his coat, saving him from harm. Despite Bond's good intentions, Loid scolds him for biting strangers, expressing confusion over his actions, given Bond's lack of disciplinary problems.

Bond has yet another vision, but this time he chooses to ignore it, perhaps fueled by the fear of imagining an angry Loid sending him back to the pound.

Suddenly, Bond envisions an apartment engulfed in flames, with a distraught woman calling for her pet, "Daisy." Utilizing his keen sense of smell, Bond accurately pinpoints the location of the burning apartment and attempts to run toward it. Initially restraining him, Loid yields when Bond persistently barks. Arriving at the scene, Loid queries if anyone remains inside, while onlookers speculate arson. Ignoring his leash, Bond dashes into the building, and Loid follows suit.

Within the building, Loid searches for Bond and is astounded to discover that Bond has located a small pug, left behind and wearing a collar with the name "Daisy." As they try to exit, a fiery rubble pile obstructs their way. Loid quickly devises a plan to use the fire escape. Before he can proceed, Bond receives another vision and nudges Loid, attempting to deter him. In an unexpected turn, the floor in front of them collapses. Surprised, Loid expresses gratitude to Bond, mistakenly believing that Bond's nose detected the impending collapse.

Amidst heavy smoke, Loid improvises a makeshift oxygen tank using a plastic bag, enabling them to navigate through smoky areas. He places Daisy in a backpack, ensuring their safe passage through the hazardous environment.

The duo leaps out of the second-floor window, freeing Daisy from the backpack. Nearby, an elderly man marvels at their efforts to rescue Daisy. However, they notice Bond is on fire and hastily douse him with a bucket of water. Bond's wet fur reveals a skinny body, prompting Loid to suppress his laughter, much to Bond's embarrassment. Suddenly, Bond catches a scent and tries to shake off the water before darting away.

Around a corner, a man in black relishes the spectacle of the burning apartment, seemingly excited as Miss Bennett, the woman from Bond's vision, cries out for Daisy. Bond swiftly charges at him, sinking his teeth into the man's leg. In his confusion, the man inadvertently reveals fire accelerants and incendiary devices from his bag, unintentionally exposing himself as the arsonist. Before the man can retaliate with a knife, Loid knocks him unconscious. After securing the criminal, Loid anonymously tips off the police.

As Daisy reunites with Miss Bennett, the old man informs her about her rescuers. However, Loid opts for a discreet exit to avoid attention, disappointing Bond.

Loid commends Bond for his heroic actions, emphasizing the need for caution, as Anya would be saddened if anything happened to him. He apologizes for prioritizing Bond's training, expressing that his duties as a family member supersede his dog responsibilities. While walking home, Bond affectionately rubs against Loid, who denies any ulterior motives, blushing in embarrassment. Loid then proposes a family trip to the dog park the following day since Bond missed out on the previous vacation. Bond happily barks in agreement.

Back home, Yor struggles to craft a folded paper penguin and ends up making a paper doll chain that falls apart. Loid and Bond return, and when questioned about why their dog is wet, Loid concocts a cover story about rain. Unbeknownst to him, Anya reads Loid's thoughts, discovering the true events of their walk, and rewards them with paper Stellas. In his thoughts, Loid wishes for Anya to receive a real Stella, shocking her.

SPY x FAMILY Season 2 finlae concludes with glimpses of other characters' activities: Damian engages in a pillow fight with friends, Becky goes shopping with Wiesel and Martha, Franky attempts to create another power suit, and Fiona practices shooting while reminiscing about Twilight.
