"Padmaavat" is a historical epic film
directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, released in 2018. The movie is based on the
epic poem "Padmavat" by Malik Muhammad Jayasi and revolves around the
legendary queen Padmavati, played by Deepika Padukone.
The story is set in the medieval period and follows
the life of Queen Padmavati of Mewar and her husband, Maharawal Ratan Singh,

narrative culminates in the legendary siege of the Chittorgarh fort, where
Padmavati, along with other women, makes the ultimate sacrifice to protect
their honor.

visuals, powerful performances, and intricate storytelling. However, it also
faced controversies and protests from certain groups who claimed that the film
