Berlin Episode 2 “Anchor and Lobo” Recap & Review

The recap of the tv show Berlin Episode 2 kicks off with Berlin inviting himself to accompany Camille to the opera. Craftily portraying his stay in the hotel opposite her apartment as a mere coincidence, he seeks a moment to explain. In her rush, Camille agrees to share her cab with him. While she gets ready, Berlin elaborates on his recent divorce, expressing his quest for peace of mind.

Anchor and Lobo

Although Camille finds his story intriguing, she perceives a slight hint of misogyny. Nevertheless, she welcomes Berlin's company. The twist unfolds as she reveals that she is not heading to the opera per se but to a rock club named the Opera to witness her friends' performance.

Despite Berlin's overdressed tuxedo, he manages to blend in seamlessly and thoroughly enjoys flirting with Camille. This man is not lacking in charisma! Berlin concludes the night by inscribing his number on her arm and sees her off.

On another front, Cameron delivers a bike to the hotel for Roi's use. Insistent on understanding Roi's plans and joining in, Cameron discovers Roi's mission to retrieve the chalice, aiming to steal it from the priest. Roi, confident in a casual briefcase ploy, believes the task will be a breeze.

The duo successfully seizes the briefcase from the priest, giving him a fright of a lifetime. However, they hadn't anticipated the intervention of two ex-convicts accompanying the priest. This sets off a chaotic chase, disrupting both a wedding and a funeral before concluding in a parking lot.

In their attempt to flee, the pair steals and damages two cars, triggering 26 alarms. In the end, the adversaries prevail, reclaiming the chalice.

Meanwhile, Keila shares her simulation with Bruce, using it to overcome her shyness. Despite Bruce being amicable, his overly sexualized compliments make her uneasy, prompting her to ask him to leave. The discomfort is palpable, revealing her unspoken fondness for him.

The next day, Damián confronts Roi and Cameron over the havoc they caused. Fortunately, the priest, shaken by the ordeal, returns the chalice to Damián. He has reconsidered his trip to Spain and opts for a one-week recovery leave. This unexpected respite provides the gang with seven days to drill the hole and execute their heist.

Another pressing matter arises as Berlin has been missing since last night, prompting Damián to dispatch Roi to rouse him. Roi discovers Berlin awake and in high spirits following a call from Camille.

Sharing a unique connection with Berlin, Camille confides in him about her marriage but expresses a desire to explore. Berlin falsely claims he is departing the next day.

Anticipating Camille's call, Berlin is taken aback when she unexpectedly appears at his hotel room, seeking entry. Despite her request, Berlin, wary of the surveillance devices in his room, rejects her and declines, asserting he's not seeking an ordinary, trivial affair.

Camille, though disappointed, acknowledges Berlin's perspective, only for him to change his mind and pursue her in the elevator. With a single kiss, they embark on an affair.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team focuses on drilling the hole while Berlin indulges in a passionate affair with Camille. Berlin isn't the sole member experiencing romantic entanglements. Keila confesses to Cameron that she has developed strong feelings for Bruce. Understandably so, as Bruce is captivating, and as they say, opposites attract.

Cameron cautions Keila to tread carefully in matters of the heart, likening love to a multi-phased disease. Speculating about Keila's mental hospital stay, Cameron steers her attention away by initiating a dance party, eventually involving Bruce and Roi.

The subsequent day, the team gathers to discuss their approach and tactics upon reaching the wall leading to the vault. The primary plan involves breaking through the wall to access the auction house.

Contrary to expectations, the team decides to enter the vault through the backdoor, relocating their equipment and commencing the task of cutting through the concrete wall securing the antechamber to the vault. They carefully sever the iron joints but postpone moving the blocks until necessary.

The antechamber features CCTV cameras directly linked to the security guards' monitors. Caution is essential as they aim to distract the guards and move them away for three minutes, allowing Keila to hack into the CCTV footage.

Bruce takes on the role of a food delivery person, intentionally disrupting the delivery and arriving 90 minutes late to incite the guards into a confrontation.

While Bruce diverts the guards, the rest of the team, clad in hazmat suits and gloves to avoid leaving DNA evidence, infiltrates the empty vault. This practice run ensures a seamless operation on the actual day and provides Keila the opportunity to gain control of the auction house system, allowing them unrestricted access to the vault.
